Default Greetings! Need help. nuch appreciated!

Hello everyone! I first want to thank all who have created this great outlet for us EQ fans. I was an avid player back in the day, before kids and responsibility, and, now that the little ones are older and busy at school and whatnot, I look forward to getting back into the game, with real fans who have always loved EQ.
Ok, back to point. I went and bought Titanium, installed on my pc. I have more than recommended specs to play, 1.6 Athlon, 1GB ram, Radeon 9600,( I know- old machine, but it gets the job done!)
Went through and changed all the files, EQhost and Eqgame, even tried the refresh rate tip for EQclient. Nothing seems to work. I have all the updated drivers from the manufactures websites. I played titanium for a bit, mostly during a free trial, on the live servers and it worked fine. Now that I have abundant free time, I would really like to play on EQEMU.
I get to the server select screen, choose a server, the screens load up fine, but when it gets to the character select/create screen, all I have is a Euridite Male with Newbie [1 Warrior] named above him. The "create a new character" and "delete character" buttons have no response, and when I press "play" or "enter world", (i forget it says) the client crashes with the "client crashes" error box.
I am at a complete loss here. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!

Did you have EQ installed before you installed Titanium? If you don't uninstall and delete the directory, or install Titanium into a completely new directory, there can still be file issues. Also, there is no chance that you patched at all is there? You are using a shortcut to eqgame.exe with the patchme setting in it?

When you started EQ, did you go through the options settings (before logging in) and select your video card and other settings? Make sure you do that. Also, you might want to try messing with resolution in the options and maybe even adjusting your windows desktop resolution.

What operating system are you running? Windows XP? Vista? You might need to try running in compatibility mode and see if that helps at all. You can find instructions on how to set that in a sticky in this General Support section for Dual Core CPUs.

That should be enough to get you started with a few things to try. Let us know if you still have any issues, or if you are able to get it resolved

Oh, and make sure you are trying different servers. Some of them have issues and so, it is possible that the problem isn't on your end.

Thanks much friend!
I think I uncovered the problem. I have The Anniversary edition of EQ, not the Titanium edition. ARGH!!!! Talk about being a bonehead!
Do I have any options here? Can I downgrade expansions or modify to let me log onto EQEMU? Thanks!

Ya, that is a problem. There is no way to downgrade to Titanium, as many files are different and asking for those files is against the rules and against the law.

Eventually, I would love to help get the emu compatible with Anniversary, but if I was you, I wouldn't hold my breath for that. There is a TON of work to do to get that ready and it isn't moving along at all yet.

Thanks much for the quick help here. Went out today right after work and picked up titanium. Loaded and modified and all works great!
Only problem is I lost the character I created this morning, but I'll research here some on characters being lost. Regardless, I am still more than grateful to be playing again!
