offensive spells problem

I have everything working and am playing on my own private server. I created a character and began to run it. Went to attack my first victim with a level 1 druids fire spell and it wont hit anything. Says "can't see target" and spell interrupted. Says it even when I am in melee distance and in any zone. I can heal and buff myself ok. Can I fix this? I am using Peq database..

get the map files http://code.google.com/p/eqemumaps/source/checkout and throw them in the maps subdir of your EQEMU install, if you haven't, this is usually a problem related to this.

Its fixed now. Thanks for your help. Now I would love to get the first original eq music in here. The melee music is annoying after they changed it. I loved the first one. Is there anywhere I can get it and where would it go, and would it work?

The original music was MIDI format, You can do a google search for Everquest Midi and I think first result will have it (just watch out for popups etc).

You could technically use a MIDI to MP3 conversion tool to make it compatible with Titanium, since they moved to a MP3 format at some point later, and emulate the original music. once again google search "midi to mp3" and probably will find something.

That's my suggestion.
