Got a free LS login account

To whom this may concerns,

First off I am not sure if this is the right place to ask for help on this issue.
Someone on project 1999 server have given me a free striped off LS account with the user login and password. He told me someone gave it to him a long while ago, and if I help him do the items transfer over to his new account that he would give me the old account. Long story short, whoever gave him that account did not give him the emu login info. So now I got the account and not knowing the emu login info I can not change the password. And before I invest any of my time on this account I was wondering is there any way that I can change the LS password without knowing the Emu login? Most importantly I also want to know is there any way I can check and see if this account is safe and clean and not stolen or hacked. Please tell me where to go from here.

far as I know they caint change login server info without knowing old password either so to me it is secured to they allow password resets

If you don't have all of the information, then it's not safe.

I actually have the user and the password to log into the game, but I do not have the Emu to change password.

That's the point, somebody does, and if they want to they can take the account away from you using it along with the other two login server accounts.

ok that means if you have account here you reset passwords if that case how you do it? My cousin knows his Eqemu account forgot LS info?

I thought no passwords could be reset period atm btw.

We're not talking about someone resetting a password for you, we're talking about how having just a ls account/password isn't safe because someone with both the forum account/password and ls account/password can change it.

Yes that they could do if they yet know it only. I honestly would not use acc never without the EMU forum acc myself. I do know if a LS acc or forum acc is lost I dont know how you could reset it at all as seems all resets disabled permanetly. Honestly why worry about just a single LS acc unless has a char on it you want save and if does ask server owner move to your acc best bet if they will.
