Default Will EQEmu become as good? possible?

I really like EQEmu for its efforts to make the game free. Cheers guys. But there's one enquiry. As an ex-everquest player, i would like very much to try this EQEmu( hehe after my exams). But at the same time, i was afraid i'm not getting the experience i get in the real everquest. I was wondering whether it is possible that one day.. just one day that EQEmu can handle big raids like PoF, or even in the planes of power. I would also like to ask whether any one the EQEmu is handling at least kunark, or any of the expansions like PoP?

I really look forward to try it out!, 1 week more to my holidays, i look forward to anybody's reply.

Yes, its possible. It just takes time and dedication, and people helping make it better as opposed to watching and complaining.

Everyone can do something to make it better, even if you don't program, but there is a small group of people doing the work, so progress goes slow.

When people like a_Guest ask for numbers, get them for him, I'm betting 95% of the people registered still play eq live. If you learn how to work on the database system, work on making one zone as good as possible. If just a handful of people would combine efforts, we would be ALOT further along than we are now.

If more people made bug reports, we'd have a better idea of the problems with it. Instead, our forums fill up with 'WTF, I CANT GET THE PATCHER TO WORK' and 'WTF, I KEEP GETTING 1017', and posts asking the same questions repeatedly.

Theres something everyone can do, it just has to be done. It has to be an organized effort. I can count the number of contributors outside of the dev team on my hands and toes, and for a project that has over 12,000 registered users, thats pitiful.

right now emu supports up to the Jan. 9th Patch of this year...all expansions up to that. With the exception of AA's unfortunatly but being I still play eq live (well not here lately the last patch has made random LD's and the dreaded 1018 error for days for some people) 1018 error is where you currently have an active character on a server...and therefore cant play them but when it happens for days at a time sony has gotten MAD MAD MAD complains here as of late. So until they can fix this I guess I will go without eq or try and logon.

I can no longer logon to EQEMU either...every server boots me off after character select screen...EVERY ONE...just to the server though. I only patched the emu once and havent since so it isnt the patcher problem.
