v5 NPCs
I finally got the npcs and grids from tcsmyworld's moving alpha (nice job on that dB BTW) into the v5 dB and it appears to work. (cant tell for sure yet, login server is making it hard for me to stay on, but it sourced fine and I did see some NPCs before I went LD)
My question is, is anyone working on the item conversion? If so maybe I can help, if not, I'll start working on getting it converted.

If you can get the items from my moving DB converted for 050 , please post a link so I can convert the newer releases to 050 too.
I am planning on doing releases for both 044 and 050 , but without items it seems kinda worthless for now.

Ok. I did more testing and the NPC's are in but not pathing yet. I'll do some more poking around and let you know. Im not a programmer so this is a much more painful process for me than most
I'm not real familiar with blob data but, but I'll take a poke at the v4 items and see if it looks do-able. I did the npc_types.sql with perl so it went pretty fast.

After more in-game time, I did see the NPCs roaming, but it was a little rough. There had no animation while moving so the kinda slid at odd angles. I am not able to connect to any v4 servers so I do not know if this is normal or a v5 issue.

The movement in 044 is very smooth the way I have it set up now.
Evidently that isn't completely implemented yet.
Thanks for the info input , appreciated , I think I'll wait a bit longer before I try to do a 050 release

Cool. Well the 044 NPC tables are fixed enough to source into the 050 dB, It appears the binaries arent using the new firstname, lastname though in the display. (ie: you get "Tubal" instead of "Tubal weaver") Or maybe I have overlooked something in the client.
The movement is for sure broken at the moment. (The files I sent you are fixed to source into the dB, but will not move right yet)

Once the final 0.50 is out (or at least a pre-release DR version with most functionality working) I'll release a 0.50-compatible version of my DB, which will also have Luclin NPCs.
I really need to get back to working on my DB again, I've been working on a lot of other projects lately and haven't even run EQEmu for weeks!
How is the development of 0.50 getting on? Last time I played on a 0.50 server, more or less all you could do was fly around.

It's looking better , was actually able to load up the DB and "walk/run" around 
There are a few glitches still in pathing , and npc ID's , but all in all it's coming along nicely.
Any chance of a Velious/Luclin release for 044 ??

050 dB
The 044 NPCs load into 050 database now (just massaged the npc_types.sql file a little) and faction appears to work fine. However with no items, you can only make a monk and go around punching NPCs at the moment. :P I havent had any stability issues with it yet (other than the login server, which REALLY needs help).
Other than items, some in-game commands, pathing, and some zoning its actually pretty close from what I have seen on my server.
My understanding is someone is working on a converison of the new item blob data?

I will do, if I finish it before 0.50 final is out .
Currently I need to do merchant lists and about 50% of loot tables, plus a few factions.
