We got over 30000 downloads of the previous release. This is two times more then eqemu got for the same period.

I say grats to Zordon! This stuff is really difficult and time consuming. How the heck did he do it alone?!

Honestly, I've never really messed with it, but from all accounts I hear its pretty stable, even if it is missing alot of functionality..

I agree with Merth, for a one man show Zordon has done a great job. I think all the flack between EQEMU and HQ has been alot of juvenile BS (of course alot of the people involved WERE juveniles...lol)

Personally, I wish him all the success in the world, why should there be any animosity between the 2 emulators, it would make more sense for everyone to work together towards the greater goal...

Oh well, my 2 cents....

Thank you. That's what I been wondering about myself. I mean poor old Zordon is over there doing it himself and the ones that claim to be so brilliant aren't helping him in the least. He's asked for help several times in various posts I have read. And here you have a full staff almost of very intelligent people working on the EQemu data bases so I would have thought by now everyone would have just put thier heads together and created one kick ass emulator.

Trumpcard it's a decent program even though I get irritated with it and is easy to set up for beginers, but it has alot of bugs and often problems with zones loading. It's easy to set up versus EQemu however the drawback to that is that it has no where near all the features that EQemu offers so in that respect it's worth the headaches learning to set up a mysql database.

If anything even if the both emulator teams didn't join together it'd be worth it still to help each other. The fact that Zordon has managed to keep up with EQemu on his own says alot about the man. He'd definately be an asset to you guys and well as you to him. Gotta atleast give him his props on that.

Zordon isnt doing it alone. dont care what anyone says. i have heard from a reputable source that a dev for EQ helps him and thats why his updates after crypto or opcode changes are so fast.

just my 2cp

Even if he had 3 eq dev's doing it, it would still be alot of effort.

As far as the reputable source, I heard the same thing, but the 'reputable' source made that claim based on the fact that he was able to update so quickly, and had no evidence whatsoever to support that claim..

A good encryption person can break this stuff pretty quickly.. I've seen it happen in showeq time and again...

You should always keep in mind EQEMu has more functionality and will take longer to update because of this.

You have to remember, Hackerquest is using a different source to emulate it.
Plus your "in theory" running it off your own server.

EQemu is almost as the EQlive server is, I think the dev's here have done a good job so far too! keep it up guys!
