saving mobs
Hey all,
Well good news here finally after almost 3 months. I GOT MY SERVER UP, WOOT !!! It's only lan, but that was my goal and I'm happy =). Thanks to everyone that PM'd me and gave me tips.
Got in one of the unpopulated zones and wanted to test the spawn feature out, still tryin to understand that one, but how does the newly spawned mob get saved to the DB? I want to start populating my zones but needed to know how they are saved. If there is a tutorial about spawning and/or saving your mobs to DB please link. Didn't see any in there though. Thanks.

keeping the mob...
Grats on getting your server!!!..
To keep the spawned, type these commands in this order :
#npcspawn create
#npcspawn add
they are now set in your spawn Dbase.

False.. doing that will create a duplicate spawn. You must type, and ONLY type, #npcspawn create. Doing an add will make it spawn two in the same place.

Ehh?? I've been doing #npcspawn create, #npcspawn add, on newly created mobs for a quite a while now on my server, never having duplicates unless I use #npcspawn add twice on the same spawn.... Perhaps I am missing something?
Regards,
SI

Just to follow up, I created just one mob to test it out on my server and I only used #npcspawn create. It saved the mob, so I guess it works.

it may not actualy have the second mob spawn, but if you look in the DB there is double of every mob you used both commands with.
