Yes, EQ is addictive and can ruin parts of your life, they coded the game for adolesences(10-20 year olds).

If you have nothing else in the world to pull you back from EQ even slightly.....ie....going out and gettin layed would be one thing, then EQ gets depressing FAST.........

1.) Unless you join a guild (depend on others) you will NEVER see a dragon nor will you see any of the high end zones.

2.) Alot of people would like to role-play their characters BUT you simply cannot...PERIOD no arguements! Well if you bought an EBAY account with all char slots filled with 50th level characters you could RP.

3.) Verant doesn't post stats on anything, so you have a feeling of uselessness if you don't have the BEST equipment. How long do you think a group would put up with a 40th level warrior in bronze dual wielding Langseaxs....especially in Velious where battles are long and drawn out. Not talking about items stats, more along the lines of usage of the items and what other factors come into play, so you can try to be the best you can be. Haste pertentages, they give NO CLUE as to WTF is going on with damage...(50damage 50delay = not a fucking thing because you'll still hit for 1 damage at times.....but why? Did I drop the sword on the mob's wart growing off its pinky toe?)

4.) Totally F'ed up vender system, and they still haven't adjusted the prices yet....like OM-MFG! Vender bought equipment should be expensive but not totally out-FN-ragous.

5.) Screwed up level increases! ie...... Char vs. Mob
