XP timeout problem

Ok here is the problem I recently lost my normal computer ( see previous post).

I have a computer I can use but it keeps coming up with a Timeout error when I try to log in. I can serf the internet just fine with it.

This computer uses XP, has 250MB of ram and 64MB video card, 2.7 ghz processor.

For some reason it keeps asking to connect to the internet. Is there any thing I can do to make is stay connected all the time. I know it isnt a problem with my ISP as I have another computer connected with no problems at all.

Well, for starters but not really related... that pc is going to run real bad!

make sure you grant access in windows firewall, sometimes it will pop up and ask you to grant access, have you seen that?

Havent seen it at all.

Surpising this computer does ( or did) run EQ pretty well. I know the specs say other wise though.

I even looked for the firewall can't find it here.

Ok I have part of the problem figured out. I can't ping Eqemulator.net at all.

I can however Ping Everquest.com.

Any Ideas..

I just tested and found that I can't ping that EQEmulator.net either... but maybe I never can. You have the eqhost file setup right?
