probably question with obvious answer

i havent played in like 9 years and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to distribute points when i level up..please help and thank you

which points you talking about? skill points?
they usually only spend when needed, like when you get say Ripost you need to put 1 level in to activate it. and most people save the rest till when they really need them, for like trade skills and so on.

You have to find your class trainer and right click on them to get to the window where you can spend your training points.
