Default Character login glitch

I just recently got this glitch (today) where when I try and login to any server including my own personal server on any version of EQ Sof ect. the characters are moving back and forth real quick I cant click enter game create char ect. if I hit my Enter key to just enter the world it disconnects me from the server. I can play my computer normal any other game works fine dota 2 wow ect. this is driving me crazy. I tried a system restore from a few days ago when it was working fine. I logged into my server on my laptop just fine no glitches. any ideas or thoughts would be great just something I haven;t thought of yet would be awesome

Set cpu affinity to single core.

Heh actually in relation to that I figured out a pretty big bug. if your running a single core of your cpu at a higher frequency than 4.2ghz the game spazzes out. Apparently no matter what version of eq it is thats the games limit. I can confirm this glitch on my rig if anybody else would like to try to replicate it be my guest. Thanks again maze for your help resolving this matter

Specs for cpu
fx-8350 4.2ghz OC

Certain Windows functions don't behave nicely when you overclock, or overclocking a certain way. And EQ uses these functions.

For things that cpu affinity doesn't fix, research I did on that seems to point back to the higher clock speed and your directx version.

Information is not very forthcoming from soe about the issue..but, there are a few references.

(eq is not the only game affected by this...)
