Default Problem involving server thinking I'm on a horse..

Playing with the server, I didn't know that horses weren't implemented yet. I recalled seeing a screenshot on the main page of a character riding a horse, so I got one of the horse-summoning items and tried to summon one.

It casted, but no horse appeared so I shrugged it off and figured it wasn't working.

Later, I went to backstab something and got this message:

'You cannot use that skill while riding a horse'..

Ok, no problem. I try to use /dismount

'You are not riding a horse'..

I logged off, came back on several times, and the problem still persists. :/

Anyone have any idea how to rectify this?

Check if you still have the buff icon for summon horse..

If so, click it to get rid of it..

That's my guess

The horses where dissabled in the CVS code. Here is a working World and Zone that DOES support horses(version 4.2).

Also, if you where on the Better then hogies server(myserver), then these are the EXE's I used.

Will you guys handing out modified source code please NOT use our numbering system? Will you please do like this

eqemu4.2.DR1-Myversiontaghere.zip ?

This way people know you are not releasing an offical release. I am tired of peopling asking for support for version 4.2, when it isn't out yet, but they "got it off the forums".

Also, it was disabled for a reason, the reason being that It wasn't finished, but we wanted to get a release out. That is why it was that way.

Sorry Hogie, I will name it different next time.

He is correct it is NOT finished. There is a bug that when you zone, the game still thinks you have a horse, and you cant ride it, or summon a new one. Other then that, seems to work ok.

I tried this one, and ran into more problems. I summoned a whip, clicked it to summon a horse, and a horse very breifly appeared, then dissapeared. The 'Horse' icon was in my buff window, so I just removed it, but then when I tried to summon a horse again it told me I was already on one. Zoning fixed this problem, but I could still not summon a horse.

Some horses DO NOT work. I believe the white silkin bridle works the best.
