Unable to Log in to Any Servers?

Okay, yesterday (Saturday) I was able to log in just fine to the EQEmu servers (Forever Hacking, the new Guild Wars server, etc.). Then, beginning last night, I logged in and, upon entering the character selection screen, noticed that my characters were not there! I tried to create new characters, but I was disconnected within 20 seconds of entering character select.

Since last night I have tried to log in many times to every server on the board, but I always just get dropped at character select after around 20 seconds or so -- if I create a character, I get stuck at the name submission/verification process until the disconnect message pops up.

Once again, this is not a "patch problem," as I was playing just fine yesterday afternoon. I am running at 56k, which is more than adequate for what EQ does..

Just a quick update: It turns out that if I wait at the character selection screen for about 5 seconds, my characters do indeed pop up. However, when I try to enter the game world, it just freezes at char select until I am disconnected :evil:. What the hek is the cause of this? :(

I just get a black screen when I try to connect to any server, then I get booted to server selection with a 1017 error, I have read all the 1017 solutions and none helped.
