I just cannot seem to get the quests to work.

Ok - Everything is set up fine with my server - spawns, spells, etc. Now I decided that I wanted to have actual quests. So I downloaded Dawde's Quest pack - put it in my eqgame/quests folder - and they don't work. I even removed the headers from each file and replaced

EVENT_SAY {

with
EVENT_SAY{

as suggested in other forums. I have searched the forum many times and I have tried many things - however, I can still not get it to work. I am using the NWNPCMOV_2ALPHA database.

If anyone has any suggestions - please help. Thank you for your time.

ok - I figured it out.

The quests NPC ID's did not match up with the database. When I rolled back to Dawdes 1.1 final - it worked like a charm. However, the spawns aren't moving :'(

Hahahahaha - one problem at a time. Hopefully I will have my server up and running soon for all those who are fortunate to be able to connect to 4.4 servers. Just need to tweak a couple more things.

There's a Basic Quests D/L on the files page of the website.
It's the same Quests folder I'm using on the test server for the moving DB.
There's also the Newest D/L of the moving DB.

Was wondering I downloaded the latest mwnpc db, majde a simple quest file. for pod to pvp someone. saved it as 3977.qst in quest/gfaydark/3977.qst

For some reason when i hail him it doesnt seem to work? Any ideas tcym?

If you do not have a script for correcting NPCID's in quests, then you can use the reprocessor app available from http://users.tpg.com.au/adslipjo/index.html. This will allow you to process any quests to work with any database.
