 Since it works in 5.0DR1, here's my advice to you: :evil:

I am out of ideas.

It could be a client problem, or it could be a code problem. I don't know if it can or cannot be a database problem. Eliminate the other possibilities.

 Hmmmm... ok
Let's see...
 I have the latest version of EQ, along with all expanision packs (something in Sony's patcher let me download all of the files for all of the expansion packs with all models, zones, changes, everything.) It took me an hour and a half to download, so I don't think thats a problem. (Original install was EQ Trilogy)
 Running EQ Windows, runs smooth and everything (but been having errors before EQW)

So uhhhhh... I dunno what the problem is either.... Ummmmm... Its not that good on some 5.0-5.1 servers cuz they're not as populated and some don't have all of the zones. My friend wants me to play on the FishWolf server with him and stuff... So I hope this problem gets solved soon so I can play on the same server as everyone else...

 Do they need to be UDP or TCP ports?

 I just talked with my bro, and he said that I don't need the router open to connect to a server, just host one.

 actually the server sends information to the player on port 9000 also, but if you dont want to try it then dont, but the issue is on your end if you tried all the servers as you claimed. There is nothing wrong with the code.

 Dont ask for support if your not willing to try what we recommend.

 Something to try - Downgrade your files using EQEmu patcher and then upgrade them again with EQLive...
 For some reason that fixed an error I was getting.

 I have serioues connection issues as well. I used to be able to connect decently (except for a few stretches once or twice), but on tuesday I logged off and went to class, and I have not been able to log on since. About half the time, when I select a server (any server but BrightBlade) it boots me back to the login screen. On those occasions when it DOES load the world and get to the chara select screen, no matter what I do (deleting old chars and making new ones, etc) it always, once I select a char, beigns loading and then hangs up, causing me to eventually have to end task it. I have tried using EQW, and also just running EQ normally with patchme, and no differance. its frustrating as all hell, hehe. Oh, on the occasions where it doesn't let me connect to the server at all and just boots me back to login, when I DO log back in it gives me the little "Could not connect to EQ server, may need to re-run update patch, etc etc..." And before you ask, yes, I DO have ALL the EQ files for every expansion. Hopefully thats a good thing, :P.
 Oh right. When I try to connect to BrightBlade, without fail (except ONE time), eqgame.exe crashes. ^^

 EDIT: I am behind a network firewall somewhere, presumably, since I am on a college campus. Could that be the issue? I remember having similar problems back on my old computer in Utah as well, though.

 EDIT EDIT:  Oh, and I can connect to EQLive just fine.  ^^;
