New and not working.

The first time i tried to go on I got to the character screen,where i received an error message, then for awhile it did not work. Now i can get back on, but it says my password does not work for any account and I am 100% positive they are correct.

When did you install Everquest? When did you patch with Sony's servers? If you have patched after 09/13, then you will not be able to play. If you installed from cd's and didn't patch at all, you won't be able to play. Basically, if you do not have a backup of your entire Everquest directory that contains the patch that occurred on 09/13, then you are not going to be able to play for the time being. At all. Hence the red text at the top of the forum:

DO NOT PATCH ON 9/13 OR LATER
