Default Error 112 at server select screen

I've been playing P1999 for a few weeks now with no problems. I also played this morning after the most recent patch. Now, for the past couple of hours, when attempting to go from the server select screen to character select screen, I have been receiving this error:

The connection has been terminated by the server. Most likely you have been inactive longer than allowed.

This occurs regardless of which server I select to join. It also occurs regardless of what account I am using (I tested this with a second login server accountt)

Following this, I am booted to the login screen. Any suggestions? I'm rather at a loss.

Thanks!

Did you try restarting your Modem and Router, and maybe your PC? That would be the first thing to try in this case, I think.

Restarted my computer to no avail. Also did a clean install.

I'm at college, so I don't have access to the modem/router. What question would I ask the computing department here if its on their end?

Oh, that is covered in the FAQ. Sounds like they recently started blocking port 5998 and/or port 9000. Check with them to see if they can unblock those again.

Cross-eyed techie at the school computing center just swore to me on his mother's life that they do absolutely no port blocking.

Any other ideas?

Could be due to Rogean reverting the Login Server back to the old LS code. Either that or maybe the cross-eyed techie got a moment of clarity and his eyes aligned and he suddenly realized the issue and corrected it :P
