Default Character moving in slow motion

On the character select screen, and in game, all the animations are taking forever. I don't know what happened, it literally worked fine 5 minutes ago. Even camping out took longer than 30 seconds. It's like everything is in slow mo. Any ideas?

Normally when that happens, it means you have a multi-core CPU issue. Check the FAQ in my sig for some suggestions on fixing it.

Thanks for the reply, but sorry that's not it. Actually oddly enough, my husband plays on our desktop which has a quad core and has no problems at all. I play on our laptop, and it's an older, not multi core machine.

Any other ideas?

Some laptops have special CPUs in them that require a certain driver for it to work properly with EQEmu. You might also want to check your RAM usage and CPU usage while running EQ and see if either are extremely high for the stats of your laptop.
