Default Can't start the game.

So, I've successfully changed 'eqhost.txt' to read;

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

I originally had it installed in my program files, adding "patchme" to the end of the target directory. But when I clicked the shortcut on my desktop the game would start to "load". An icon appeared for it on my task-bar and the screen flickered black as if it was trying to load but only returned to my desktop.

After reading around a bit I tried moving all my files into my documents (C:\Users\tokinbuds\Documents\EverQuest). In the shortcut properties I have;

Target: C:\Users\nICO\Documents\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme
Start In: C:\Users\nICO\Documents\EverQuest

I have tried adding "patchme" to the end of Start In as well as adding quotes, nothing has worked. I'm running Windows Vista.

Hopefully with this info someone can help me out, thanks. (:

Screen resolution or lack of directx9c. Wide screen resolutions and the use of multiple monitors are the most common cause of that problem. Following in a close second is the lack of directx9c and it does not matter if you have directx 10 or 11.
