Thumbs down Can't Connect

Ok so I did the
Step 4 - EQHost File

In order for your client to connect to the EQEmulator Login Server (and not SOE's EQLive Login Server), you will need to change your eqhost.txt file to point at the correct location. Go into your EverQuest directory and locate the eqhost.txt file. Replace the contents of the file with the following (Remove any trailing spaces):

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

Didn't work (said EXHOST.TXT File was not found in directory).. So I've been researching and the closest thing I come to possibly logging in was this..

Add this into the EXHOST.TXT file :
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin2.eqemu.net:5999"
}

I need a new updated post on how to get this thing working. Just having...
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998
does not make the game work..

Please help!!

Also the information I have in the host file leads me to..
Establishing connection with login server.... and it freezes.

Isn't there suppose to be like a [registration server] or whatever? Or just that txt in the host file?

if you are getting the error that the file doesn't exist, then you need to create it. It should be there already though so your install is suspect. Also, there's a deal with windows that doesn't allow you to edit that file if it does exist unless you have Admin priviledges so you would need to copy the file to the desktop or something and then edit it and copy it back.
