Default No Endurance and Updating Items(?)

Something that I have noticed, is that I have no endurance on my PURE Melee classes. The ones with mana show end correctly, but the ones that don't have mana (Monks, Zerkers, Warrs, etc) show 0/0 on their endurance. Is there a way for me to fix this? I know it works on some servers... What did they do for it to start working?

I am using Rev_1751 patched all the way through.

Something else I was wondering was, how do I update my DB items? I downloaded the TXT, but how do I update it? Right now I am having to manually add in the item(s) I want from Live. Is there an sql file that I need to grab and run?

In my eqemu/utils folder, there is a perl file called load_13thfloor_items, but when I inspect it, it shows the information as:

Code:
$db = "eq";
$user = "eq";
$pass = "eq";
$host = "localhost";
Do I need to change this to match my DB info and run it? or does it autorun or what?

Which client? Are you using the standard UI? Can you use disciplines that require endurance? Does #showstats show it correctly?

All of mine show it with a brand new DB install. There is nothing special you need to do.

The load_13thfloor_items.pl script will read your eqemu_config.xml file for that information assuming you either run it in the same directory as the config file or provide the path to it. The version of the script I have from the SVN doesn't work though, the fields in the items.txt file don't match the current database. It's probably pretty easy to fix by adding to the text replacement already present in the script, but it wasn't important enough to me to figure it out.

I am using House of Thule, But I will test the others I have just in case that is the issue.

I will check out some of the coding and see if I can't figure something out

Thanks for the quick response

When you say House of Thule you really mean the Underfoot version from Steam right? You can check the version here: http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...ClientVersions

I use Underfoor and have no problems with the endurance showing using the standard UI.

Yeah, that is what I meant. I am using Underfoot, and I tested it out with SoD, and I am suffering the same issue.

Try setting the Character:SoDClientUseSoDHPManaEnd rule to true. It shouldn't return 0 without that, but you never know.

I have it set to true, and it is still showing the same thing.

Does #showstats show the proper values? Can you actually use disciplines that require it?

If you use your client to log onto any other server does it show up?

No I cannot use any kind of discs, I cannot even jump, it tells me "I am too fatigued to do that".

Endurance (Using the same client) shows just fine on a server called "XxXDeathXxX Norraths Elite".

Not sure what is going on with mine. (Also, I changed some costs of the AAs in the AA table, but forgot to back it up first......... Anyone know how to default this? Or am I going to have to manually do this? [Would prefer not to wipe the DB]).

Yeah, something is definitely broken of your server.

To restore the AA table, you could open up the latest PEQ DB dump and paste just the AA data into a new file and source that.

Alright cool. Thank you. And I suppose I will just mess around with some stuff and see if something doesn't fix it.

Will any of the rules mess with endurance? For example, if I changed the Endurance Regen value and set it at say 100,000, would it break it? Also, could you tell me what the MAX END value is?

I know it doesn't matter right now, since when I create a new character, it shows 0/0 endurance (For pure melee users).

I don't know. I will mess with the values a little more and see if I can't figure something out.

Thank you again for the info on the AA tables

I replaced the AA Tables (Altvar and AA Effects), and now it seems to be working accordingly.

One thing that I was messing with was; Increased Stats. Now I am not sure how far this actually goes into doing what it needs to do, such as STR increasing Attack and Attack actually increasing the damage done with weapons/skills, but could anyone give me a layout on what you have tried regarding this, and the end result?

Thanks.
