Default Error when trying to access EQEmu Severs...

I try to enter EQEmu Servers (but not 0.5.5 DR1, those work) and get the following message:

Error 1017: Cannot login to the EVerquest server. You may need to re-run the Update Patch. Repeditivly seeing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the patch server. This is usually temporary.

The sourceforge site supplies an updater thing but it dosent work, how can I access the latest updates needed to PLAY on an EQEmu sever?

You've patched, you can ONLY play on 5.5-DR1 servers.

The emu patcher is no longer supported don't ask about it.

Don't patch without checking the forums first, or you'll be stuck.

Checking the forums? What?
People are playing the other servers, so SOMETHING works...
How do I get it? What forums should I check?

If you have patched, you can't play on the other servers... The people that are able to play on them have a back up folder that they didn't patch. If you discuss how to get the files to play on the other servers or ask for them, you can be banned. It's not really worth it. Eventually, the other servers will move to 5.5. Just remember to keep a back up directory that you don't patch incase a patch breaks EMU....

It looks like they are only on 0.5.5 DR1 (Developers Release 1) right now. 2 and 3 come after 1 which means they have not been released yet.
