Default Login problems

Everytime I try to login to play eqemu it sits there saying establishing connection and then it either does nothing or comes up with error 1001. All my files are set up the same as in the Howto: Play Eqemu section. Any suggestions?

Post your eqhost.txt file and we'll probably be able to help you more.

Check if you have a firewall activated.

There was a post about this somewhere else and i can't for the life of me find, it, but sadly the way the person fixed it was reformating their hardrive and reinstalling windows/eq. i am sure there is another fix around it, but he was having same issue.

I do have a firewall active but even when I disable it I have the same problems. I even uninstalled eq and reinstalled it but still no luck.

If you're still subscribed to EQ Live, see if Sony tech support can give you some tips to get you connected to EQLive servers. Once you get connected to EQ Live, then a simple change to eqhost.txt should get you connected here. Obviously you're not gonna have any luck connecting here if you can't get connected to live first.
