Is there a character limit for the account name length?

That computer's name is strongbehr (10 characters) and I keep getting this error:

<strongbehr PC IP address>: Wrong name/pass: name='strongbehrused'
Removing client from ip: <strongbehr PC IP address> port:1060

Any idea what that "wrong name/pass" error might be? And why it adds "used" to the end of the account login name?
