Strange issue please help!

Hi all,
I'm having a strange issue with 060 DR3.
The whole thing will run FINE, can login and run for hours.. UNTIL I create a quest file in the install directory.. after that, the zone's crash as a player accesses them...

(I have PERL installed ok)

ANY suggestions gratefully tried out!!!!!
