Not connecting to server or minilogin

I have just setup a minilogin server, and when I go to my computer to play EqEmu, I launch the minilogin then I launch the eq shortcut I created according to the guide. For login information, i type the account I created here and it just says something like connecting to the server, but never goes anywhere else. The server seems to be fine, but am I not logging in properly? Thanks anyone who can help!
