Bard songs DID generate agro (aoe songs are MAJOR no no on raids) and that was NEVER changed. What WAS changed was the amount of agro it generated...on live servers I would battle fight claw and scream for agro whenever I could...having an eb proc and cs4 proc on both weapons while slowing snaring dotting etc the mob and couldn't hold agro off of nearly anyone. Bards had some sort of faction modifier on everything they did...including straight agro procs like enraging blow...it was supposed to add 700 agro and added more like 350 or something like that.

That is DEFINATELY not the case on the eqemu servers as I often have problems losing agro on bard (hence the reason for -agro procs on some weapons early in the game AND the reason fading memories was originally introduced...to lose agro when you built up too much from songs...and was given 100% loss in case you accidentally had aoe mana regen or what not hit a monk pulling you could fade to prevent the raid from whiping). But then they went and modded agro with pop to be non consequential and impossible to get...I swear bards on live servers were the ONLY class that it was IMPOSSIBLE to get agro on when they wanted it...rogues could get it monks could get it any caster with a nuke or stun could get it...just bards left off the list to make our jobs "easier" I guess...as if melody didn't make it easy enough...oh well.
