Can't get EQ to run in Full screen?!

I'm running EQ in Windows 7 Home Premium and I can't get my EQ to run in full screen for the life of me!

I just tried doing alt + enter like ahundred times and it always makes the screen go black and freeze up and crash..

Any ideas of what to do? It seems like my video settings don't change at all when I access them through the options.
