Default Scribing spells leads to many problems

I /bugged this ingame on the official server, but I'm not sure if that actually goes anywhere, so I'm putting as much as I can remember here.

Server: Official EMU server - 0.5.5 DR1
Client: EQ+RoK patched current after the GoD release, but I downloaded everything EXCEPT the GoD stuff in Advanced on the EQ Patcher.

To repro: Create Dwarven Cleric, enter game.
Open Spellbook.
Open Inventory.
Click spell scroll, click slot on page 1.

Effect: Purple progress bar for scribing behaves normally, but when it finishes, things get "hung" up.

-Spell icon does not appear in Spellbook
-Spells hotkey(6) results in "You cannot use that command at this time..."
-Cannot target PCs or NPCs(including yourself) with the mouse - F7 works for PCs, F8 works for NPCs, but F1 does NOT work for self.
-Cannot pick up anything else from Inventory
-Cannot use "I" key to open inventory - must use /inventory chat command (other single and double key shortcuts seem to work)

I know there's more, but I can't recall anything else - this all stems from the "failed" attempt to scribe a spell like you would on the Live server - as opposed to using the #scribespells command.

In fact, intervening with #scribespells 1 seems to break you out of the "hung" state.

I can reproduce this at will, including the after effects that seem like they shouldn't be tied to this.
