Crashes at Login and EQHost does not work!!

Ok, the first problem may be related to the second...

First of all, I had to change my eqhost for my own server so it said this:

localost
5999

Instead of the one I take from the readme or download from EqEmu as I have seen so many time on the Forum, no matter WHAT I have tried, whenever I download and use one of the EQHOST.TXT files from EQEMU or another server, it says please make sure it is in the EQ Directory when I go to login, and it is....



But I don't get this error if I make the file look like above with just two lines, but instead, the game crashes when I attempt to Login...I can't even get to the server screen.....

Any ideas on why the standard EQHOST.TXT files won't work? IT is really getting annoying because the file is quite obviusly there!
