They ARE people. Companies don't run themselves, PEOPLE do. So when you get screwed by a company, it's people doing it, PEOPLE are screwing you.
Verant has a track record of shoddy customer support, offensive GM's, and buggy software.
We play the game because it's fun, but that's all. If EQ came out from another company with better Customer Service and better software, which we could transfer the characters to, we would all do it in a heartbeat.
They KNOW that most players have put lots of time into the game. In order to get to "the good stuff" which is the fun stuff, it takes a very long time. By the time we realize what kind of company Verant is, we don't WANT to just change to another online game; we've spent too much time on it getting to the good stuff.
Just because many companies have poor customer service, it does not mean we should accept it. If all car companies started making cars that lasted for 30,000 miles and then broke down completely, would we accept that too? I doubt it.
