That might be a very interesting project to create a single player of EQEMu. With all the potential and ressources EverQuest has, we could make a 100+hours single player game, if not more.

Thatd be incredibly fun. Pick a race/class and it could possibly be a huge Epic Quest. Only problem, wouldn't you need a server box for it?

Yes and that's not necessary a problem because if you want to invite a friend in your adventure, you'd need to have a dedicated server.

Running mysqld/perl/world and 1 or 2 zone instances + EQ client is easily doable on most computers.

This would probably be a project better implemented in our own client though, if that ever comes.

Sounds interesting. Im a noob when it comes to most of that, but if you want some help with getting coffee and such just ask.
