I just set this up on my server and so far, using MySql 5, the Emu seems to load the DB info faster.

I could not get the precompiled binaries to work for me. I kept getting this error:

Code:

Failed to connect to database: Error: #1251: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

So I recompiled the server using the MySql 5 include and Lib files and it booted right up for me.
