I had the same problem, resolved it with this thread.

http://eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20772

And you cannot "assume" if one doesn't work, why follow anymore instructions, unless you know for a fact no zones up means you can still login. :/

Hope this helps you both.

yeah, you can get to character select screen with no zones up. I'll take a look at the thread... but I think I've already seen your link to it. Will report back momentarily.

Yeah, I have seen that post, and I have tried to set my server up the same way that they have. It also has the same problem. World connects to minilogin just fine, and I can log into the loginserver, but I don't see my server.

I can't imagine it's my configuration because I've tried almost every possible combinations of ip's I've found in all these help threads. I'm just out of ideas.

The only differences in mine are in

Loginserver.ini I have my worldaddress set to the IP Address of the Server and in the XML file I have the server's IP address in both the <address> </address> in the World Section and <host> </host> in the loginserver section.

I don't run my eq client on the server, so my eqhost.txt file has my server's ip address in it.

To test it as you were, I didn't run launcher and I can see my server, but it's locked as it should be with no zones running. My Mini Login looked nothing like yours though after the new Server connection line. It was blank until my client connected and then only was showing the client connection.

Could it be because it can't read the launcher table in your database, it's causing the World to not show up? I'm referring to the 2 ERRORS in your World.exe Output box.

[Error] Starting Log: logs/eqemu_error_world_3408.log
[Error] WorldDatabase::GetLauncherList: #1146: Table 'luclin.launcher' doesn't exist

I had this problem when I first compiled and ran 840 in Linux. I played around with my config files until it just started working. Today after I made a change to my variables table, I am getting the problem again. I don't really think this is a config problem like everyone seems to think it is as I've yet to see many people fix the problem by making them configs the same.

fixed the launcher and now I run 2 zones when testing, but still no server listed. I am afraid it's not my variables table either, the only thing i have in there is my logintype. I'm about to give up.

Aramid: where did you download minilogin from? I got my version from sourceforge... is it possibly the wrong version?
