When you updated, did you read the change log file?

In there, there are SEVERAL Database Changes.

You MUST DO ALL OF THEM starting just above the version you converted from to the version you went to!!!!!

If you did them, you probably missed one, that's all it takes is one!

As Mattmeck would say.. This same problem and solution has been posted SEVERAL Times

Just the 0.7.0. No number after it, so you need to apply ALL of them.

thanks magefeu I had this exact same problem and I had just come on to bitch about it *laffin*

but while I am here can I ask (with the obvious chances that I am going to get harassed by wise-alec or whatever his name is) what is the suggested number of zones to start with? I mean, I know base is 5, but should one try to start with more? would it help?

also, while I **am** going to scan all the posts, **IF** this hasnt been asked, could someone point me to info regarding how to finetune the server now that I finally got it to login?

oh.. just a side note, (because CERTAIN people say it cant be done) I am running Trilogy patched up to current with sony but then altered back down to 6.2 and the server is cavedude's 3.52 patched to the latest 0.7.?840?

tank ya

Depends on the number of players you want to host. If you are alone you can easily run with only the 5 dynamic zones. It will take some time when you are zoning but it should be ok.

I looked at your config on your other post and I think you should be able to run something like 30 to 50 zones. If you want to run more zones you should increase your memory amount. Speeding up your CPU won't help.

ok THAT is the kind of info I have been looking for... thanks again Mage

I figured out why matt was bitching out the other guys about how you CANT run trilogy... I have a backpatch (didnt know there was a terminology for it) so I see why I could update my Trilogy up to current then back it down to 6.2) good good.. sorry for being cynical Mattmeck... Just as a veteran site admin I dont think it is PC to attack your members being critical to them when they have an earnest question.. some people dont have the years it takes to drudge through a forum that SERIOUSLY needs a house-cleaning.
