There is no true classic server ATM, and in my eyes, a new, different client will define a true Classic Server. If you start to pass around an old client with out SOEs authorization, a lot of good players will not go for that, as it would be bootlegging.
I try to follow the classic "style" when I work my database - meaning I concentrate on zones that would be compatible with classic zones, old time drop rates, spawn rates, ect.
I probably shouldn't have called it "Classic" , but I do have hope that sooner or later, this will all pan out.
Rathe Server is a good, solid, custom server, that homes the official ax_classic db. The PoK books are active, and anyone who uses ax_classic DB can see where the sql for adding the books is included in the package. All the later expansion work is active, as it still it is in the DB and Rathe uses it.
