I would gladly run a GuildWars server if it weren't for that "it's mine no one can have it" mentality. The moment anyone even attempts to run one, you get bombarded by asshats who crawl from under a 5 years silence who have nothing good to say for your efforts except "yours will suck compared to the orig noob". Not worth the hassle.

I believe I finally got ahold of the source, but without the data, I have no idea how to set it up.

Guildwars was a popular server back in the day, but PvP is just not for me full time. Sure, a little friendly combat of skills is great now and then, but I am a PvE guy plain and simple. Give me a gnoll anyday.

I had been working on a server where PvP was set in "contested" areas... however, a question I posed went unanswered (as usual) so I stalled. I think it would be a great mixture of PvE-PvP if you went into, say, LGuk Assassin camp and PvP was enabled, but outside that specific area, it was PvE. Kinda like the city arenas are.
