Nice, and very interesting I'll have to buy a couple boxes just in case. I would love to see the if some of the zone re-vamps could be implemented or some of the newer features. I loved the new freeport.

Might just be he's giving new people arriving to EqEmu a legal way to play again, since Titanium is just about sold out.
I still have access to one of my friends EQ accounts (I think he paid a year and never plays), anyways, someone said the FP boat was running again and it is. Only thing is, it's a much smaller skiff with no visible cabin access, and it got to Freeport in a fraction of the time it used to take (was so fast, I either missed the stop in OOT, or it doesn't at all). They must have made this for the Progression Server players.
I didn't really like the new skiff that much, I always thought the old one looked like something out of a painting.

EDIT:
I was just at www.walmart.com looking for Anniversary and saw they have Titanium for sale again $18.82 - ironically, Anniversary is out of stock but Titanium is available.

Personally, I'd like the core engine to support any and all Live content, regardless of what currently does not work. Sure there's tons to fix that could be working now, but if you are not a programmer and cannot make the effort to help, you cannot complain. Period.

I think the Anniversary support is a fantastic step. There are some of us who enjoy new content as well. This is not just about EQ-Ancients.

Agree with John Adams... while I like the classic EQ (no PoK books, a CR truly means running, and dying is really something to be avoided) there isn't anything wrong with upping the server to support Anniversary edition. Can't go to the movies one night without blowing the equivalent of $20... To keep new folks coming to the Emu you have to support what your prospective "public" is able to buy in the stores.

On the home server I tend to fiddle around with all the different races/classes. I run Angelox's classic database (Ax's new Froglok home is very cool, and on Live my main is a froglok necro on FV). Opening up other new zones for home play just gives more places to explore.

The entertainment value you get from this project is way more than the price of the discs. The twenty bucks is well spent, I spend more on a bottle of my fav' Columbia Valley Merlot fer cry'in out loud.

And that don't last nearly as long baby.

I'm not one of those "stingy" penny pinchers who wont go out an buy something like this for $20.00 because I already have Titanium, but I feel that if it was possible to get the client for free (which there are ways, proabably many) this would be much more sucessful, population wise. I use to play on a Ultima Online Emulated server and everyone just downloaded the 15 day trial off of Fileplanet. EqEmu doesn't condone of this type of thing because of legal actions and what not, which I perfectly understand... this was just my opinion thats all. I'm sure others feel the same way.
