Default eqgame.exe has caused and error

ok i bought titanium edition yesterday and got everything up and running and it was playing great then last night EQ froze up. I rebooted my computer and tried to run EQ but it would go to a black screen and then pop up with the error eqgame.exe has caused an unknown error EQ will now close.

I read the guide and reinstalled EQ and change the login server and made the shortcut, but this error is occurring still after the fresh install. any help would be much appreciated.

What was the resolution? I just installed Titanium today and I am getting a very similar error. I can get the client running fine under linux, but when I try under windows, it crashes before I get any screen.

Try changing your screen resolution.

I had this problem several years ago. Take a look at the eqclient file in your EQ directory. Note the resolution and change your desktop resolution to match it before running EQ. This may also work without changing the desktop resolution: change the WindowedMode to TRUE in the eqclient file, then change your resolutions via the options in game.

I wish when people would find a solution they'd follow up with it on their posts. This forum really does have alot of useful info when used with the search.
