EQGame will not connect

Ok, after perusing the forums for hours, searching, fiddling with my settings, i'm finally admitting defeat and asking for help.

My server runs with no errors, but when I try to connect to it, EQGame just hangs at the Loading Server Information...please wait screen. On my minilogin panel it shows the connection, but if i'm reading it right, it's not passing it on to the world.exe.

I get no errors on zone, world or Minilogin. There nothing in the logs. Does anybody have any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have posted this in the mini login section of the forums for better support purposes, but no use making multiple posts as that is often frowned upon.

The first thing I see right off is that you set a config that you aren't supposed to mess with in 99% of all cases. I don't run mini login, so I can't tell you much more about how you should be setup, but I am pretty sure this part is wrong:

You should comment that out the way it was to begin with by making the changes in red:

See if that helps. That is at least part of your problem. Let us know what else happens after you change that. Unless this is something that the mini-login setup guide tells you to do, then just ignore this post.

Also, make 100% sure that you are running a retail copy of Titanium and not some illegal downloaded copy. Anything other than retail won't work.

with minilogin you want to set the address field to your external ip or domain name (such as a no-ip.org hostname) and localaddress to your internal lan ip address

also ive noticed the first time my client connects to minilogin (first time any connection is made) it hangs just close and reopen it should help i hope

Thank you for your suggestions....i did re-remark those 2 lines as per Trev's suggestion.....same thing.

Then I changed the addresses per cole....same thing....minilogin shows the connection, but does not hand it over to the world.exe window.

One concern I have is the first 3 lines of my login window

[LoginConfig] block not found in LoginServer.ini.
Server mode: MiniLogin
Login server listening on port:5999

It shows block not found....but every other screenshot i've seen has the login loading op codes. Could this be an issue. Otherwise I am at the pulling my hair out stage.

And yes Trev it is a store bought copy of Titanium...works on the regular EqEmu servers....I play mostly on yours and Zeb. Great servers.

Well....wanted to post an update. Completely uninstalled EQ, and EQEMU (programs and databases). Did a clean install. Everything worked perfectly. So still have no clue as to what was keeping the login server from talking to the world server.
