umm how does questing work with this old version of the emu included with sc?

I don't know. I never tried quests with 0.5.5 and I don't know if it handles them. That's one reason why I made sure to add 0.6.0-dr2 compatibility (and it does work, though you would have to make your own DB for it or adapt the existing one over).

I can attest that 0.6.0-DR2 does infact work, but it took pretty much an entire day to get the database squared away. I experienced crashes due to the items most often, so bare bones minimum requirement is to either upgrade the included Database or create your own items and everything else for it to work but once you get that done, then you should have a minimum of problems if any.
