At work right now so I can't verify but I think you might have found the problem with c:\eqemu\quests. I think I currently have c:\eqemu\Quests. I will check when I get home and let you know. Thanks.

@Andrew
I am using perl 5.8.4.

Which logs are you referring to? I have hundreds of logs .. which ones should I be looking at?

Ok Iv'e taken a look at my quest logs and indeed there is an error on every npc when the zone loads.

Example:
WARNING: error compiling quest file quests/poknowledge/Tratlan_Jowyr.pl: Perl runtime error:

I followed the advice on another thread and copied all of the contents of my c:\eqemu folder to the c:\perl\bin folder. This didn't work and I am still getting the same compile error in my quest log.

Any suggestions?

More information .. i have installed all the perl packages required to be the best of my knowledge.

PPM - Programmer's Package Manager version 3.1.

ActiveState is a devision of Sophos.

Entering interactive shell. Using Term::ReadLine::Stub as readline library.

Type 'help' to get started.

ppm> install dbi
Note: Package 'DBI' is already installed.
ppm> install dbd-mysql
Note: Package 'DBD-mysql' is already installed.
ppm> install io-stringy
Note: Package 'IO-stringy' is already installed.
ppm>

And I have verified that Enable Strict mode was unchecked in the mysql install.

Im running out of things to try.

Is that the extent of your error in the log file? That's no help. Can you try to run one of the quests from the command line and post the output, if any?
