Making a server PVP is a simple matter of turning it on in the variables table of the database. Just use your favorite DB editor and check it out. I recomend MYSql query Browser.

For the issue with the armor, I recomend not putting that dye on any sensative areas

Seruiosly though, I have no idea what this could be... I wasn't even sure dye was working.
