You database is already much newer than the version of code you are using. You don't need to worry about updating PEQ DB. I am assuming you are running version 1129 from the download section of this website. That is way out of date and is probably the cause of your problem. Try getting the matching revision (probably 222) from the new SVN page here:

No worries! BoT grinds can be like that

I have bit all my nails off~

Will try Trev's 222 remedy in morning, when shober. I had to take few hours out or some not so expensive hardware was going permanently into geostat orbit.

Many thanks.

I'll be back...

Cheers guys.

Done, dusted and working.

I was running under 1129, replacing with Revision 222 done the trick.

Had a perl error and problem with "unable to see target" spell casting and quests.

After a spot of forum ferreting:~

Cure for perl error here:-http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/sho...ght=perl+error

Cure for quests and spell issue:- http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/sho...=unable+target

Thanks again*

Hiyas,

Whats the latest version of the source/db for *Nix servers?

I currently have a mismatched build as described above, because i believe i'm running Rev245 on 0.70 Source

Please advise,

P.S. Btw, i believe Cogent has a bad route cached for you guys to the West Coast. I've been getting crap as far as connection and resolution of the eqemulator domain for the last few days. :(

That isn't a bad route, the login server and website both run on the same server. Sometimes it has weird connection issues and happens for everyone. It can be down for hours at a time.

If you are running R245 of the source code, you need to be running the same version for the database. Otherwise, you can run an older revision of database and just make sure to run all of the required SQL from the /utils/sql/svn directory from the revision of database you are running up to the revision of code you are running. So, if you are running a database for revision 222 and you are running the code for 245, you need to run all of the SQL files from 222 to 245.

Hehe, I'm aware that the website and loginserver run on the same server.. I was referring to everyone's issue hitting it in general..

"Sometimes it has weird connection issues and happens for everyone. It can be down for hours at a time."

This IS routing, and Cogent is notorious for it... unless of course your server actually goes down for hours at a time, which is doubtful.

Next time anyone's having connection issues traceroute eqemulator.net and I'd be willing to bet that the trace fails on one of Cogents routers.

Just tryin' to help
