v. 8.21.16 has loot editing buttons in the center of the page, as well as the program can be moved around on smaller screens.

Second you really need to adjust window properties on the video driver to run 1280x1024. On my 10" netbook, it can even do this. All flat panels should support this. If the video card does not show any higher res, then try non-supported res. if that's an option - or try to set up a non-standard monitor.
Now on nvidia cards and some ATI, you can run a high res and the desktop will become a virtual screen - displaying just the part the monitor can display.

IF you really cannot run higher, then the window is mouse moveable. DL the recent version and it supports the newer db schema.
