My problem now is that I can't even get to the server screen, but here is the dbg file.

hm, you get kicked back at the login screen? Any specific error? What is the contents of your eqhost.txt file in your EQ folder?

You said you don't have access to the physical router. Is that because you don't own or admin it? If you share a router, the owner of that router may have a proxy or may just be locking port 5998 or 9000. You may need to see if you can check the router config yourself or have the admin of it check it for you.
