That is either resolution or lack of directx9c. Start with resolution, widescreen formats and spanned views across multiple monitors are not natively supported by Everquest which causes lots of people that same issue.

hmm don't I change that in the eqclient.ini file? not much in that file I remember it having alot more in it but it has been a long time perhaps I am mistaken

Hrmm, guess it might vary by client version. I use SoD and the resolution changes are in the eqclient.ini file. Which version of the client do you have?
