Login Issues

I ran through the dual core fixes and that's not it, plus my problems don't fit the multi core issues. I can't log in to have the video problems associated with multiple cores. FWIW, I verified affinity is set to cpu 0 in processs, checked power settings... no luck.

I'm about to upgrade to an SSD and windows 7. Maybe I'll just try this again once I have a fresh install...

Hi, I seem to have the exact same problem, I can log into the Server Select screen, but when I try to connect to p1999 Kunark, the screen goes black and then goes to the login screen again.
The surprising thing is, I can't connect to the Kunark p1999 server, but i can connect and play on others, like the p1999 Red Server (which is using the exact same files). So it can't really by any of the possible explanations mentioned in this post. I would not be surprised if Cathan had the same specific server access problem.
But the server seems to fine ---EDIT--- the server was down indeed, though no post had been made to inform people yet, and the server still showed it had a few players (odd).

If you are having problems only with a specific server, then we can't help you here. You will need to bring up your issue on their forums to get support.
