You need to have a zone booted (zone.exe process, or eqlaunch.exe) to be able to log into the game. World is used for char select -> world and login <-> world communication.

eqlaunch works and comes up. I can make and select characters, but no matter what zone I use as a spawn point it says zone unavailable.
