Which is really sad. He actually had a very large supportive community with high hopes, fed them just enough to keep them interested and never delivered. Yeahlight's reasoning for making the project vaporware does not add up. He still could have delivered a viable project without data from Sony, we all do it. Sure it is not 100% accurate but you do the best you can with what you have.
It is sad to see eqclassic dwindle away. Maybe someone should do a good scrape of their website before it goes down, the Wayback Machine is not always helpful. I may fire of HTTPTrack this weekend and grab it.
